My partner and I had been eyeing Ace Hotel Brooklyn for a while. Living in Brooklyn usually means you don’t really need a hotel to stay… until your parents (well, mine did) decide to visit, which gave us the perfect excuse to book a room to stay.
We booked a room — and ended up loving it way more than expected.
Ace Hotel Brooklyn is more spacious, better priced than most Manhattan hotels, and still insanely well-connected by subway. Add in thoughtful design, cozy rooms, and that effortlessly cool Ace vibe, and it’s honestly hard to pass up.
If you love boutique hotels with personality, but still want comfort and convenience, this one delivers.

about Ace Hotel Brooklyn
Located in Boerum Hill, just minutes from Downtown Brooklyn, Ace Hotel Brooklyn is a 4-star boutique hotel that blends an industrial-modern feel with vintage character in a way that feels intentional, not overdone.
The brand is known for its thoughtful design choices, creative energy, and spaces that feel lived-in yet elevated — the kind of hotel that attracts travelers who appreciate aesthetics but still want comfort.
Ace Hotel is part of a global hotel group with locations across North America, Europe, and Asia, each reflecting its local neighborhood while keeping that signature Ace personality. From custom furnishings to little details like SMEG mini fridges (yes, those!), the rooms feel curated without being flashy.
The Brooklyn location is also pet-friendly, welcoming dogs under 25 lbs with pet beds and bowls provided, making it an easy choice if you’re traveling with your furry companion.
Founded in 1999 in Seattle, Ace Hotels helped redefine what boutique hotels could be — stylish without trying too hard, creative without being pretentious. In late 2025, the brand was acquired by Seibu Prince Hotels of Tokyo, adding an international hospitality touch while preserving Ace’s original identity.

Queen room overview
Walking in, the space felt surprisingly roomy for NYC. The design was a perfect mix between industrial and cozy — concrete textures softened by warm lighting and vintage accents.
Standout details
💬 ONE small NOTE
The hotel is near subway lines, which may cause a slight rumbling in some rooms. It didn’t bother us, but light sleepers should consider bringing earplugs.
A whoa moment
We did have to switch rooms due to a plumbing issue in the first one (yikes!). We notified the staff downstairs, and they had us move quickly out of the room asap, and honestly… the second room was even better.

Breakfast at Lele’s Roman
I made reservations super early at Lele’s Roman, which is conveniently located across Ace Hotel Brooklyn. If you come down from your hotel, you can also access Lele’s within Ace Hotel without leaving the front door. Food itself was incredible. Solid service. Super spacious inside, but recommend making a reservation because it fills up pretty quickly.

Lobby vibes
The lobby vibes were bustling.
From a little after 8:30 AM, people were up and about, with some just chilling in the lobby, talking to each other. There was a work area with a long table where people had their laptops out, and even a bar area in a separate section to grab drinks, which I’d be down to check out next time!

final thoughts
I’d absolutely recommend staying at Ace Hotel Brooklyn.
The hotel strikes a really nice balance between modern, stylish, and vintage — the kind of place where you walk in and immediately feel a creative, slightly artistic energy, but still relaxed enough to actually unwind. There’s a calm, chill atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in, whether you’re visiting for a weekend or staying a few nights.
Service overall was solid, though I’ll be frank — when we had a plumbing issue in our first room and asked to switch, the initial interaction at the front desk felt a bit rushed with unclear instructions, which was frustrating in the moment.
That said, the issue was resolved quickly, and the room we moved into turned out to be even better. It had the same aesthetic, but it had a standing shower and a record player you could connect your phone to — a small detail that really elevated the stay.
In the end, Ace Hotel Brooklyn delivered exactly what I look for in a NYC hotel: great design, a comfortable room, a convenient location, and a vibe that feels cool without being exhausting.
If you’re looking for a Brooklyn stay that feels intentional and well-designed, this is it.
