If you love slow mornings, cozy corners, and the smell of paper (same), Nguyen Van Binh Book Street is your little pocket of calm right in the middle of District 1. It’s often called Book Row Ho Chi Minh, and honestly? It’s one of the easiest “let’s add this spot in” stops to add to your Saigon itinerary.

Even if you don’t read Vietnamese, the energy here is so pure — there are colorful stalls, indie bookstores, cute cafés, and that perfect slow-travel vibe I always chase.

Book Street map

So you’re probably wondering, where exactly is Book Street? Book Street sits right between the Central Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral Saigon — two of the most iconic landmarks in the city. So, if you’re already doing a District 1 day, you can naturally fit this stop right into your itinerary!

getting there

From the airport

If you want a smooth arrival without dealing with taxi negotiations, you can pre-book a Daytrip private transfer.

Within the city

  • GRAB

Order a motorbike or car depending on your comfort level. Cars have AC (bless), but bikes weave through traffic faster.

  • WALK

If you’re already at the Post Office or cathedral, you’re basically there. We walked over in less than a minute.
