getting there
TO PIRAEUS PORT
8 minutes by taxi or ~20 minutes walking (depending on your gate).
TO THE ATHENS CITY CENTER
18 minutes by car or a 45-minute metro ride.
💡 SMART MOVE: Book an Athens Airport to Piraeus private transfer in advance. You’ll avoid long taxi lines and surge pricing, especially after late-night flights, and it’s the easiest way to get straight to your hotel.
The Port Comfort Room overview
Walking in, I was surprised by how spacious and modern the room felt, even though it wasn’t huge.
Here’s what stood out:
It’s actually surprisingly quiet despite being close to the port and train station, making it the perfect spot for a solid night’s rest before travel!

dining experience
One thing I loved about Port Square Hotel is that you don’t have to go far when you’re hungry — they’ve partnered with Bacaro, the restaurant right next door. It doubles as the breakfast space in the morning and a casual dining spot all day long.
After checking in and dropping our bags in our room, we headed straight to Bacaro, the hotel’s partner restaurant next door, for lunch. It was the perfect choice — no long walks in the summer heat, just a quick, easy meal right by the hotel. The menu leans Mediterranean with a modern twist, offering plenty of shareable plates and solo dining options.
Breakfast at Bacaro
The next morning, breakfast was exactly what we needed before our ferry ride. Buffet-style with small, fresh portions of Mediterranean classics, plus plenty of hot options to fuel up.
This is included in your stay if you book a breakfast package. Guests not staying at the hotel can join for an additional fee, paid at Bacaro’s counter.
It’s not a super fancy breakfast buffet, but it’s filling, fresh, quick, and stress-free — exactly what you want before catching an early ferry.
