Kaohsiung’s coffee scene is full of hidden gems, and Oracle Coffee is one you can’t miss — especially if you’re planning a visit to Pier 2 Art Center. This conceptual café blends modern aesthetics with vintage charm, making it one of the most unique spots in the city.

Even during Taiwan’s rainy typhoon season, we couldn’t resist venturing out. While staying at TAi Urban Resort (highly recommend if you want a luxury stay near Pier 2!), my partner discovered this futuristic coffee shop just a few blocks away from the art district. It was the perfect spot to get our pre-exploration caffeine fix.

With sleek interiors, expertly brewed coffee, and a menu that surprises you, Oracle Coffee is more than just a café — it’s an experience. If you’re in the area, this is where you should grab your coffee before diving into Kaohsiung’s creative hub.

About Oracle Coffee

Oracle Coffee seating – Black round tables, clear chairs, cement grid benches, white walls, circular window.

Founded in 2015 by Sean Chen, Oracle Coffee started as a private coffee roasting lab tucked away in the alleys of Nanhua Market. It quickly became a hotspot for coffee lovers looking for a taste of Taiwan’s evolving specialty coffee scene.

After a three-year hiatus from COVID, Oracle Coffee made a strong comeback — now in 2 different locations in Yancheng, Kaohsiung, and Beitun, Taichung. Known for its bold flavors and dedication to quality, it’s a must-visit for anyone who takes their coffee seriously.

The Ambiance

Walking into Oracle Coffee feels like stepping into the future. The sleek, minimalist interior is all about cement walls, black-and-white grids, and industrial-style design. It’s modern, edgy, and different from your typical cozy café.

🔹 Seating? It's limited and not the comfiest, but it's perfect if you’re here for a quick caffeine fix or to take a few photos.

🔹 Vibe? A mix of remote workers, coffee enthusiasts, and Instagrammers capturing the aesthetic.

📸 PHOTO TIP
