【花蓮 日遊咖啡】Daytrip Coffee Roasters in Hualien
Before leaving Hualien for Taitung, we made one last stop for coffee — and I’m so glad we did.
Located in Shoufeng Township, Daytrip Coffee Roasters is the kind of specialty coffee shop you don’t expect to find on Taiwan’s east coast. We planned for a quick caffeine fix before a long drive down south… and ended up staying for over an hour just soaking in the vibes.
The coffee? Smooth, balanced, thoughtfully made.
The pastries? Fresh and not too sweet.
The vibe? Calm enough to make you forget you have places to be.
If you’re looking for one of the best coffee spots in Hualien before heading toward Taitung or Taroko,
this is it.

the vibe
From the outside, it almost feels like you’re walking into someone’s home — quiet, low-key, with potted plants, tucked into the neighborhood. But once you step inside, it opens up into this airy, modern space that feels intentionally designed but not over-styled.
There’s warm wood everywhere — the counter, tables, cabinetry — balanced by terrazzo floors and clean white walls. The paper pendant lights and retro-style chairs give it a slightly nostalgic feel, while the plants and abstract art keep it playful. It’s bright without being harsh, minimal without being cold. The whole place feels calm and unpretentious, like it’s designed for lingering over a pour-over instead of rushing out the door.
