final thoughts
Dashibishan Trail was actually recommended by a local friend as a quick stop while driving from Hualien to Taitung, and it ended up being such a good call.
We visited during the winter and were hoping to fly our drone, but the weather was honestly terrible — super windy. Still, the views were incredible and definitely worth the stop.
🙋🏻♀️ Just a heads up: there are a lot of stairs going up and down, so wear comfy sneakers. It’s also not wheelchair accessible, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re traveling with small kids who can’t handle stairs.
