Paquita in West Village, Manhattan

Colorful teapots, teacups, and pastries at Paquita teahouse, New York City, West Village, afternoon tea, tea time, desserts

Located in the West Village neighborhood, Paquita is a cozy teahouse that offers a perfect escape from the busy city streets.

Owned by the adventurous Mariquit Ingalla, it is a spot loved by tea aficionados and those looking for a unique, cozy, and intimate atmosphere.

Mariquit has shared that the tea shop's name, Paquita, was inspired by her grandmother's nickname, which adds a precious and sentimental touch to the teahouse.

As an American-born Taiwanese, I grew up drinking a lot of tea, and I love that Paquita offers a variety of tea leaves from around the world. The teahouse is cute and reminds me of similar places I've visited in Taiwan, but with a European-vintage touch.
