For our three-year anniversary, my partner booked us a One Bedroom Pool Villa at TIA Wellness Resort in Da Nang, and I was sold before we even finished checking in. It’s a spa-inclusive resort, which means daily treatments, yoga, and healthy food are built into your stay.
Frankly, I’ve never felt so looked after on a trip.
About TIA Wellness
TIA Wellness Resort used to be Fusion Maia Da Nang and rebranded as TIA in 2021.
It’s led by Thân Thục Quyên, who also co-founded She Will Be Strong, a social business that donates 51% of its profits to support women in Vietnam.
You can feel that energy walking around, with women in leadership everywhere you look.
The concept is simple. Spa treatments, wellness classes, and healthy food come with your room, so you never have to plan or pay for your relaxation separately.
Getting There
TIA Wellness Resort is about 15 to 20 minutes from Da Nang International Airport, so you can be chilling by the pool almost as soon as you land.
Grab
Download the app and book a ride as soon as you land.
Resort shuttle
TIA offers airport pick-up for an extra fee. Make sure to book this ahead of time!
Private pick-up
A driver meets you at arrivals and takes you to the resort in an air-conditioned car. Book before you fly so you're not hunting for a ride after landing.
See private transfers →Tip: TIA also does drop-off. We used it to get back to Da Nang International Airport before flying to Saigon.
Checking In
Checking in at TIA Wellness is seamless. You’ll need your passport or ID if you’re a local.
While my partner handled the paperwork, I enjoyed a cup of herbal tea crafted from fresh, locally grown ingredients by the head chef! What a thoughtful touch to set the tone for our stay!
One Bedroom Pool Villa Overview
We booked the One Bedroom Pool Villa, and it’s the reason I’d stay here again. It’s private, quiet, and cozy in a way that makes you not want to leave. Here’s what it comes with:
Private pool
Every villa has its own garden and plunge pool. Ours was on the small side, but it’s still a private pool a few steps from the bed, perfect for a quick dip when the heat gets to you or for a slow morning with coffee.
King-sized bed
The bed is huge, with fluffy pillows, and we were out within minutes of lying down.
Bathroom
A luxurious bathroom featuring a sunken bathtub, rain shower, and double vanity.
Wellness minibar
Flavored water and healthy snacks like pineapple, mango, and dried bananas. The dried pineapple and bananas were my favorite and surprisingly addictive.
They restock it every time they tidy the room, so you’ll feel like it never runs out.
Laundry
Short on clothes? Call the front desk to arrange a pickup at a set time. It costs extra and goes on your tab at checkout.
Yoga mat + slippers
There’s a yoga mat for stretching in the room, and slippers for indoors and outdoors. They’re so comfy you might want to take them home. You can buy a pair at the boutique.

Wellness and Spa
Wellness is the whole point of TIA, and you get that feeling the moment you arrive. We booked a regular villa, and a daily massage was included in our rate, which turned out to be my favorite part of the stay.
The daily massage
You book your massage by calling the front desk or stopping by in person. They’ll give you the available times and help you pick a treatment. Anything up to 80 minutes is included, and a longer one costs extra. They also make sure you get your full 80 minutes, which is exactly what stress and tight shoulders need.
Afterward, you get a wellness affirmation card and a special tea made by the resort. Linger in the quiet space with your tea, or skip it and head back to the villa. Totally up to you.
If you want more, there are packages
I only learned about these after our trip, but TIA offers two wellness packages if you want to go deeper:
WELLNESS INCLUSIVE
Two wellness treatments per person each night (80 minutes total), plus daily classes like yoga, breathwork, and a creative workshop.
RETREAT INCLUSIVE
Adds a longer retreat therapy, plant-based full board, a private consultation, and a personal wellness guide.
Frankly, if I went back, I’d look at Wellness Inclusive for the classes alone. Check TIA’s site for current packages and rates, since they change.
The boutique shop
The boutique sits in the spa area, and you can charge anything to your room card and settle at checkout. I wasn’t fully prepared for my period and assumed I’d find 7-Elevens like in Taiwan, but there weren’t any near the resort. The boutique saved me with tampons, which I was very relieved to find.
It’s also a fun browse: affirmation cards, yoga mats, dresses, shirts, bracelets, candles, incense, sunscreen, and body lotion. If you fall for the slippers from your villa, you can buy a pair here too.
Infinity Pool & Beach
Infinity pool
Swimming in the infinity pool was one of my favorite moments of the whole stay. It looks straight out at the ocean, and it’s so peaceful that I kept forgetting to take photos and just floated. Come at golden hour if you can.
The beach
The beachfront was also a short walk away. I claimed a lounge chair while my partner ran straight into the waves, then we both dried off in the sun with cocktails ordered through the resort’s service. The cocktails were pretty watery, so I’d order a beer or something simple instead.
Dining at TIA
TIA’s food is light, healthy, and genuinely nourishing, and about half the menu is plant-based. Breakfast is available all day, which, as a breakfast person, I consider a paradise.
There are three different dining options here.
1. Buffet
A spread of fresh fruit (passionfruit and dragonfruit were highlights), yogurts, and savory Vietnamese breakfast dishes like mini bánh mì and phở.
My tip is to take just the basics so you save room for the à la carte menu.
2. À la carte
The menu sits at the side of your table, with a good range of breakfast options. The portions are just right, not too big and not too small, beautifully plated and healthy. This was my favorite way to eat, and it cost us about $50 extra for two people over two days.
On day one, I had the Superfood Smoothie Bowl while my partner had the Banana Chocolate Pancakes. On day two, I went savory with the Sesame Salmon with crispy skin (yum), and my partner had the Deluxe Toast Hawaii.
3. Room service
Available 24/7 for ultimate convenience.
When we first arrived late at night, we decided to order room service since nothing else was open. We thought it would be a good opportunity to try out their menu and enjoy a small, healthy meal.
Surprisingly, everything on the menu was quite healthy, and the food arrived pretty quickly.
The one thing I’d skip
The Floating Tray. It looks gorgeous drifting in your villa pool, but the food wasn’t as good as the restaurant. Order it for the photo, not the meal.
Final Thoughts
I loved our stay at TIA Wellness. The design is contemporary and symmetrical, the service is excellent, and the spa is fantastic. We only had two days, and four would be ideal to settle in and actually utilize all the amenities.
It’s the kind of place where you stop checking your phone by day two. TIA is a great retreat for anyone who needs to decompress and slow down in Southeast Asia, and the yoga and breathwork offerings give the whole resort a calm, almost spiritual feel. It also feels empowering, especially for women, and you notice it as you walk around.
It’s not perfect. Our private pool was small, the cocktails were watery, and the Floating Tray is more photo than meal. None of those deterred me from the stay, and the food at the restaurant was deliciously healthy and kept me going all day.
I’m even considering a return trip with my mom’s side of the family: a girls’ trip built around yoga, breathwork, and pure relaxation.
If TIA is on your Da Nang list, here’s where I’d compare rates.

Rates can differ between sites, so I'd compare both.
